Overview Of Effective Medicines Used For High Blood Pressure Treatment

In the past, newer and far more efficacious antihypertensive drugs like Avapro 300mg and Amlodipine 5mg have helped hundreds of thousands of women and men avoid serious complications and to keep their blood pressure in the normal range. In order to explain how these medications work we would take a closer look at high blood pressure and explain the dangers associated with it.

Blood pressure is the force that the blood applies on the arterial walls. The two measurements correspond to the pressure caused by the blood when the blood is pumped out and when the heart rests between two beats. These readings are known as systolic and diastolic. The former is the higher number. According to the American heart association (AHA), it should be less than 80 for the diastolic and less than 120 for the systolic measurement in order to consider the blood pressure normal. If the readings vary between 120 and 139 and between 80 and 89, then the patient is considered to be in a pre-hypertension state, and when the numbers raise above 140 and 90, then the person is affected by hypertension. However, a single reading is not enough to make a diagnosis therefore the physician is likely to take a few readings over a certain time period or ask the person to check his blood pressure at home on his(or her) own as well. And only if the readings are consistently high, then he is likely to prescribe a treatment.

High blood pressure treatment is done with medicines like Amlodipine 5mg and Avapro 300mg, exercise plans, dietary plans and weight loss programs or a combination of them. Even if a sufferer is put on medications, reducing the intake of sodium and consuming more vegetables, grains and poultry is likely to dramatically speed up the healing process. Nevertheless, when the blood pressure readings are too high, the patient would almost immediately be recommended medications because they work quickly and are the best way to prevent stroke, tissue and organ damage and heart attack.

Both Amlodipine 5 mg and Avapro 300 mg are prescribed for high blood pressure and even though they act in different ways, they are among the best-selling antihypertensive drugs and work excellent for most persons. They are both oral medications that should be taken on a daily basis and normally, the treatment can last for even years. If you have been recommended either Amlodipine 5mg or Avapro 300 mg, you can safely purchase the generic medications online, because they are stocked by many established Internet pharmacies, and cost much less than their brand name counterparts. Since the generics are almost identical to the brand name tablets as far as the main active component is concerned, they have the same effect and work as quickly. Nevertheless, it is always best to consult your health care provider or a pharmacist when purchasing medications Web in order to make sure that you are purchasing the proper drug and the recommended dose.

Lowering the blood pressure with medications can be achieved relatively quickly, still to avoid the dangers

associated with it perseverance and commitment are needed, as well as diet and lifestyle changes

Cure for the Common Cold Silver - Is it effective on Novirus and Influenza?

New scientific findings have revealed an interesting potential new cure for the common cold: silver.  Recent tests on the novirus by scientists have many speculating silver could also be effective against Influenza.  Don't start ingesting silver paint just yet though!
According to a report from Montreal Gazette, Professor Willy Verstraete, a microbiologist from University of Ghent, Belgium, recently presented the findings at a London meeting last week.  Tests showed that the bacteria with silver in it was able to effectively stop infections caused by novirus, which leads to winter vomiting outbreaks.  Professor Verstraete believes that silver-impregnated bacteria could be put into nasal spray form and help combat viruses like Influenza which is responsible for the common cold.

So what does this mean about the other health concern, that is putting silver into your body?  According to the same article, too much silver ingested into one's body can cause damage to liver, kidneys and/or lungs.  However in this situation, it is very small particles of silver attached to much larger bacteria.  Due to this method, the silver would not pass into other parts of the body.

If it's true, Kim Kardashian, who has recently appeared on W Magazine wearing nothing but silver paint, should never catch a cold.  All kidding aside, while this may sound like a great discovery, as with most brand new scientific finds, it will need to be tested, tested again, and of course approved for public consumption.  The government may even prefer there isn't a solution so easy, because it cuts down on consumption of Kleenez, medicines, vitamins and other remedies.  However, it's still exciting news that we may be able to one day cut down on the amount of coughing, sneezing and vomiting that comes along with the common cold.

Would you consider using this new cure for the common cold, aka the "silver bullet" in a nasal spray if it would prevent influenza?
